Kansas Representative Fred Patton introduced a conceptual bill to the House Committee on Tax today which would apparently provide broad authority to the Chief Justice to extend deadlines in response to the COVID-19 issues. At this time there is no exact language of a bill. It is anticipated it may impact high volume dockets, such as those in Johnson County, Sedgwick County and Shawnee County. As well as address filing and response deadlines.
