AMENDED
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER ON ALL CHAPTER 61 LIMITED ACTION CASES
This Order is being issued in response to the recent outbreak of
Coronavirus Disease
2019 (COVID-19) in Johnson County Kansas, and Johnson County limiting public
gatherings to less than 10 people. Given the significant number of identified and
projected cases of COVID-19 and the severity of risk posed to the public, and given the
recommendations from local public health authorities, it is hereby ORDERED that,
effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020:
All hearings for Chapter 61 Limited Action cases will need to be continued to reduce the
traffic coming into the courthouse through May 1, 2020. Changes to the Chapter 61
cases currently set in Chapter 61 Court (Division M4, room 222) shall be as follows:
1)
All trials set on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from now through June 30,
2020 shall be continued by the Court. Attorneys should contact the Chapter 61
clerks at
to reschedule the trials for a date after
July 1, 2020.

All Thursday
9:00 a.m. Aid & Execution and Citation in Contempt hearings

for limited action cases, from now through May 1, 2020 shall be
continued as set forth below:

The cases set for Thursday, March 19, 2020 shall be continued to Tuesday,
May 5, 2020 at the same time designated in the Notice originally received.

The cases set for Thursday, March 26, 2020 shall be continued to Tuesday,
May 12, 2020 at the same time designated in the Notice originally received.
c)
The cases set for Thursday, April 2, 2020 shall be continued to Tuesday, May
19, 2020 at the same time designated in the Notice originally received.
d)
The cases set for Thursday, April 9, 2020 shall be continued to Tuesday, May
26, 2020 at the same time designated in the Notice originally received.
e)
The cases set for Thursday, April 16, 2020 shall be continued to Tuesday,
June 2, 2020 at the same time designated in the Notice originally received.

The cases set for Thursday, April 23, 2020 shall be continued to Tuesday,
June 9, 2020 at the same time designated in the Notice originally received.
